Your Step-By-Step Guide To Easter Decorating

Easter is almost here, and it’s certainly not too soon to get in the spirit! Bunnies, eggs, flowers, and more are about to take over, and we want to help you get a head start around your home. We’re going to walk you through Easter decorating, step by step and room by room.

Today, we’re talking about front porches and entryways. Next week, we’ll move through the rest of the home so you’re ready to host friends and family. We won’t make you wait any longer; it’s time to get started!

Front Porch

The first area of the home we’re addressing is the first area people see. Whether you have a front porch with plenty of space or a front door (and maybe a few square feet) in an apartment complex, this spot can provide a spirited welcome.

If you have a little more space, we suggest a bistro set. The seating area will allow everyone to enjoy the spring weather. Even a small space has room for our next three suggestions:

Doormats, wreaths, and filler décor.

Doormats are a wonderful way to add some Easter style. They’re practical and can provide a pop of color. Wreaths turn an ordinary door into a beautiful spring canvas. Filler décor can be whatever you want it to be. Depending on the space you have, you can hang a bunny plaque or set up a basket with Easter eggs. Don’t be afraid to try something adventurous!

Entryway

It’s time to take the talk of decorating inside as we address the entryway.

If you have a small seating area, let’s update that first. Throw pillows on your bench can be changed out quickly to something more seasonally appropriate. Any bright pillow with bunnies, eggs or blooms should do the trick. If you don’t want something quite that bold, try adding pillows that are solid pastel colors.

Your console table should be easy to spruce up. A bunny figurine and a vase full of fresh blooms will help this space embrace the Easter feel. When it comes to wall décor, bunny art is always a safe bet. Oversized arch plaques and Easter wreaths are also nice additions.
