Easy Rice Krispie Nests for Easter

Easter is this Sunday and it’s time to celebrate!

We love seeing everyone’s creative snack boards and sweet treats. And we just had to join the party! If you’re looking for a quick and easy recipe for you and your family, we’ve got you covered. These Rice Krispie Nests are so delicious and so much fun to make. Check out the recipe below!

Ingredients:

  • 10 ounces of mini marshmallows

  • 4 tbsp of butter

  • 6 cups of Rice Krispies Cereal

  • Cadbury Mini Eggs

  • No-stick spray

  • Coconut (optional)

  • Green food dye (optional)

Instructions:

First, make the Rice Krispie Treats! Put a medium sized pot on the stove and melt your butter on medium high. Once the butter is completely melted, pour the entire bag of marshmallows into the pot. Occasionally stir the butter and marshmallow mixture until the marshmallows are melted.

Now, it’s time for the Rice Krispies! Pour in the cereal and stir until all ingredients are completely incorporated.

Time to shape the baskets! Use a 12-cup muffin pan and a large tablespoon. Start molding the baskets in the cups, spraying your spoon with non-stick spray when needed. Once all the cups are finished, let set.

After completely cooled, add in your chocolate eggs! For additional fun, add green food dye onto coconut to add edible grass to your baskets.
