#Refresh4Less Challenge: Bathroom Edition with White Farmhouse Haven

Happy Tuesday! Are y’all ready for another #Refresh4Less challenge? We know we are!

Kirkland’s Insider @whitefarmhousehaven is taking over our blog to show how she remodeled her bathroom and re-decorated her shelves. Follow along for more!

Hey Y’all! I hope you have been able to enjoy some summer sunshine. It’s been pretty hot around here, so we have had a couple pool days already resulting in some fun and sunburns!

The house has been coming along, and I’ve really noticed since not being in a home of our own, our style is definitely changing. I’m loving the airy modern farmhouse vibes with the tropical plants and clean features. Kirkland’s has really helped me in refreshing our space to become more modern and we will be ready once we move in with all the pieces! For now I’m styling the pieces at my parent’s house in their newly renovated bathroom that AJ and I did (renovation post soon to follow).

So how can you refresh a space for less you ask? It’s simple. First, choose the space you want to spice up a bit. Choosing the space you want to refresh is going to help you when going into the store and knowing what to look for. If you go into the store not knowing what you want to decorate or re-decorate, you are going to end up with a bunch of random items. For this Refresh for Less Summer Campaign, I chose to refresh my parent’s powder bathroom!

We decided to add in some shelves to their bathroom wall, so this made for an empty space to decorate! I made sure to measure the space I had between the shelves, that way I knew how tall of items I could get when I went to Kirkland’s. In addition to styling the shelf, I added a pretty fiddle leaf plant to the vanity!

Fiddle leaf trees and planters have been my favorite faux plant for some time now, but I always struggle to find decently priced ones. Kirkland’s has so many options that are reasonably priced, and are the perfect faux plants to help refresh a space for summer! Here are a look at a few I found on their site, including this beauty!

Next up, styling the shelf (I’ll get to the other pieces in this bathroom on the make over blog post)! When you style a shelf, it’s all about balance. You don’t want too much on one side, and balance with the color as well. Let’s just say, I have never styled a shelf and then everything just fit perfectly. I have always had to move things around a couple times to get it just right.

Now starting from the top, I decided to add in some pretty neutral candle holders and paired them with a plant. However, the fun fact on this Kirkland’s beauty here…it’s a kitchen utensil holder! I styled it with a plant I already had that matched the fiddle leaf and it fit almost perfectly. I love the terra-cotta look as well, and I’m excited to use this holder in other places around our soon to be new home!

Moving to the second shelf, this is where the balance comes in. I did put smaller items on this shelf, but styled it with another terra-cotta planter that I got in store at Kirkland’s (this exact one is no longer found online). I added a couple books to give it a little more dimension and height, then paired it with a brass lantern, and finished with my favorite Kirkland’s beads!

When you put it all together, you’ve got a styled shelf!

Here is a look at the full before and after:

Here is one of my all-time favorite items that is in Kirkland’s that I am so going to need in the future once we get into our new home!

Stay tuned for the full bathroom renovation post, but for now, make sure you head over to Kirkland’s to check out some of the items I used in this month’s Refresh for Less Summer Campaign!
